G&A Martin Electrical Contractors have installed over 200 kW of grid connect solar systems in this area and is working hard
to help more people enjoy the benefits of solar.
There are a number of Government incentives to offset the price of installing your grid connect solar system.
Renewable Energy Certificates - One renewable energy certificate (REC) represent the generation of 1 MWh
(megawatt-hour) of electricity from your system. On installation, you can create REC's equivalent to the anticipated
amount of power that your system will generate over 15 years. Our quotations assume that you assign the REC's created
by your system to us. We then sell them, and this reduces the out of pocket cost of your system.

NSW Solar Bonus Scheme - This scheme allows installers of "small generation units" (SGUs) prior to June 2012 to create up to five times the usual number of renewable energy certificates (RECs) on the first 1.5 kW of rated power. The usual number of REC's will apply to installed capacity of more than 1.5 kW. This scheme is not means tested and available to all Australian householders, businesses and community organisations provided that no other installation at the address has received any grants under this or another scheme.
Gross Feed-In Tariffs - You will receive a premium price (currently 60.812 cents per kilowatt hour) for the total amount
of electricity produced by your system. You would then buy your electricity as normal (currently 21 cents per kilowatt hour).
Utilising this tariff most systems would pay for themselves in under five years.
